the amazing race!

Today was quite awesome! So a couple days ago I found out through Katrina that there was a class action lawsuit that just ended in department stores having to give out some makeup items that they held back a few years ago.

SO Kathy and I got up early today to head downtown to get our free stuff! We hit Bloomingdales, then Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and then Macy's. BUT you know us, we hit a couple places twice. lol It was quite a rush running all over the place and getting our makeup. It was totally like a race around downtown to get to the next place before they run out of the good stuff. In the end, we made a killing with all of loot! (oh man what i do for free stuff .. hahha)

*But i think my favorite thing that i got today is the Clinique Moisture Surge. It's the most useful thing and it's cute looking - ish. Then i do like how the Lancome SPF lotion is not greasy.

ALSO today was the inauguration of our 44th President. Congratulations to President Obama!!! Woooo ... yes we did! And i love the fact that Michelle Obama's dress was by Asian designer Jason Wu. (I looked at his collections and I really dig it!)

and man aren't Barack and Michelle just so cute? :D

All in all I'd have to say this 20th of January was awesome!!! Oh yes! i almost forgot that we also went to the Chanel store again and I saw this absolutely GORGEOUS teal metallicy Bag that I absolutely LOVE love LOVE! Yes it is $3095 but it's just soo pretty! I also liked this white tote ish bag that surprisingly was only $1595 or something like that. (and yes Kathy I know our little pact ... estbl. 1/20/09 @ 1135AM lol) I will have a Chanel someday! <3>

whoa ...it's been a while!

WOW i didn't know so much time has past since i last blogged ... hopefully this year i can keep up and post more often.

SO what's new with me? nothing much ... just enjoying my winter break from school and chillin til craziness begins again.

The past few days have been fun, went shopping, karaoke, did a shabu shabu night, hit the movies, slept in, baked, and hung out with my buddies!

- i found out that Steve and Barry's was closing and i ended up buying a bunch of things ... which i most likely don't really even need, but whatever i couldn't pass up all the great prices. NOTHING above $3.33! but i'm so sad that the store is closing ... i really loved Sarah Jessica Parker's BITTEN line and Amanda Bynes' DEAR line - and the always low prices in the entire store.

- Ate dinner at The Cheesecake Factory for the first time with Bonny, Connie, and Katrina a couple Saturdays ago. I have to say it was quite delicious! And next time I am totally goin to try the Chicken Salad Sandwich as per Katrina's recommendation, or I'm gonna get one of the ginormous salads that they serve.

- Went karaoke-ing again at Voiz on Noriega with Kathy, Connie, Katrina, and Anna which was very fun. You can never go wrong with singing Backstreet Boys! And then we went to eat a late dinner at In-N-Out and hung out there chit chatting and giggling over our yummy burgers!

- saw "Bride Wars" with Kathy, Ben, Anna, and Connie on the opening night. That movie was sooo good! I love Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson!!! <3>

- Went yum cha with Connie and it was quite yummy. then we went to Haight and walked around .. and i stepped into Mom's and got my price, now i just need to get it done! i think i want the three stars on my lower back left side.

- i hate registering for classes!!! what a bum that i'm wait listed for 2 of my classes. i better get into them or else i'm screwed to the max man! and since i couldn't get FIN during EPR i couldn't get it at all. now i hafta crash a class the first day and try to add .. but i highly doubt i'll get in.

- Had a dessert day at mi casa with Anna, Connie, and Kathy and we dipped stuff in chocolate and i made some sugar cookie dough and a weird strawberry pudding pie. ( i think imma stick with the o soo yummy banana pudding pie from now on!) BUT when i rolled out the sugar cookies and baked em up they turned out delicioso! i'll post up the recipe someday ... thanks to my auntie Sandy!!!

- Finally went to Costco after being Costco deprived for a while. it was awesome! cept this one lady took a sip of this yogurt drink sample and then put it back down and Connie almost drank it! Thank goodness that other lady saw and told us ... geez some ppl are just soo gross and inconsiderate! i got Ugly Betty Season 1 for only $18.99!!! :D .... but i forgot to get gummy bears that i've been wanting for soo long now. pooies.

- finally Connie and I went to the newly remodeled Sava Pool and it was super nice. The entrance, locker rooms, and showers look soo much nicer now. But the pool looks a lil smaller ... more square now. but really nice and the water felt warmer then before. :D

... well that's all that has been goin on in Sharon's World lately. Now i should be gettin off to work. (yuck!)

happy 2009!!!

I know i'm a couple days late, but whatever ...
So 2008 has come and gone ... nad another year has begun. I hope this year will be just as good as the last, hopefully even better!!! :D

Went to see the fireworks with some friends at Cupid's Arrow near the Ferry Building, which was cool. Encountered some crazies, but it's always like that i SF.

My New Year's Resolution (starting the 5th) is:
"In the next year, I shall lose a few pounds and flatten and tone up my tummy."

what did i do in 2008???
- Started this blog ... lol
- Met a lot of new people.
- Explored more of SF.
- Stablized my job at Aero.
- Turned the big 20.
- Took, passed, and finished all the ACCT that I'll ever need in college!
- Joined ASU.
- Voted in an epic presidential election.
- Learned about new places at school.
- Tried some new foods and cool restaurants.
- Shopped WAYYYY too much.
- Michael's Elementary School Graduation.
- Took photobooth pics for the first time.
- Bought my first pair of designer shoes ... Marc Jacobs, 80% off!!!
- Tried a new hairstyle.
- Paintballed for the first time.
- Revisited Canada for another reunion.
- Had some different colors in my hair - blue, pink, purple
- Got a cool iPod Touch! <3
--- most likely more stuff, just can't recall at the moment.

All in all, it was a fun year i think.
What's next? Who knows ... but hopefully it will be awesome and I can say I've done more things of substance.

Definite To Do's:
- Star Tattoo ... just need to pick where and GO!
- Get more invovled at school
- Summer Internship

i love how my day can be pretty good and sometimes actually super fun. but without fail someONE(s) will always just shoot it down the hole and make it into a crap crap crapper.

i hate it!!!!!

so yea ... my day was pretty bomb ... slept in, work was alright, saw Anna, got a present, chilled at the granparents' place with the fam fam, dinner was yum yum, we all wathced house bunny together, made plans for sushi tomorrow, even played around and sang and made a video on a mac .... (that was all fine and dandy, fun stuff)

then it all just went down the hole ............

Christmas was cool .. got fun stuff! like my parents got me an iPod Touch ... awesome!!! :D

but it sucks cause i had to work all freakin weekend ... deal with all these dumb customers and crap ... sooo many people that ask some crazy things and expect you to do everything for them. man ... i hate those really uptight customers that are soo cheap and want you to do overrides and stuff.

well ... i get the next couple days off and get to finally relax!!!

YAY! yippee YAHOO heck yes baby BOOYAH!!!!!!!

i passed everything!!!!!!!!!

i was soooooo terrified that i was gonna fail ACCT 101, but today grades were posted and I got the C- so I'm in the clear! BUT man did i BOMB!!!! that last exam ... got a frakin 48% ... i was like SHITTT oh no don't tell me i got a D and have to retake it. but he gave me the C-... awesome.

and then for ISYS i was soooo disappointed in myself that i did bad on the final and got the B+ in the class. And while i was takin the final i felt like I knew the stuff and would do alright .... GUESS NOT! I wanted the A so bad since i was doing so well on everything else. BUT THEN, he sent out an email today saying he added some points to the grades because he was feeling generous. So by a miracle i got the A-!!!! (although i do think he took pity on me since i got 89 point something % after the extra points, but he just gave me the A- not the B+)

I LOVE SUPER NICE TEACHERS!!!! THEY ROCK MAN!!!

on the other hand i did get a B in MKTG ... which is really sucky concidering it was an easy online class, just the final was freakin 50% of my grade and in class! whatever ... at least i didn't get a C. I really don't know how I got soooo many questions wrong on that final, i studied and stuff before and thought i was gonna do ok. Then i started the final and i was like, "SHIT SHIT SHITTY SHIT WTH are these questions! I've never seen them before in my life!" But i just stuck with my plan that if i really got stuck then i would just guess A since a crap load of the Qs were A for the answer! (hilarious)
OH YEA ... and i was sooo scared that i wouldn't get in to take the final at all since i was signed up for the wrong time and was just gonna go try to add in for the 3PM test. but then there was like a hella long line for to get in and i was literally like the last person she let in .... thank God!!!

okay ... so i think i should be ok for grades this semester ... just my GPA is gonna suffer major! which really sucks since i've had such a good GPA thus far, i've been on the Dean's List like all my semesters ... o wells, classes are only getting harder and i don't think i'd be able to keep my grades up anymore.

my grades should be:
ACCT C- . MKTG B . IBUS A . ISYS A- . ETHS A (hopefully) . and HM B (hopefully)

now imma get to wrapping some Christmas presents and then start studying for HM 351 (my last) final. woohoo!!!

ok ... so 4 down, and 2 go!!!

may need to retake one tho ...
